The importance of covering both ends. . .

…I really wish I had these on my trip to Prudhoe last year. The Dalton and ALCAN use a calcium chloride layer on top of the gravel roads, which is great when dry and hard, and just awful when wet. Because it has this harsh base, it’s important to get it off your bike as soon as you get off the road, otherwise it calcifies and attaches to the bike pipes/engine/etc. Get ready for the Alaska trip this summer and get the extra protection installed before you go.
